Julie Dienst McMillin is the Vice President and Deputy CIO of Simpson Technologies Corporation in Aurora, IL USA. Julie is the great, great granddaughter of Simpson Technologies Corporation founder Peter L. Simpson. Julie joined Simpson full time in February 1998 and in 2021 became one of the fifth generation of the family to assume an executive role.

As Vice President and Deputy CIO, Julie is responsible for assessing the company’s information technology needs and developing strategies and plans for meeting those needs. As a member of the executive team, Julie participates in planning corporate growth and coordinating the strategic plan as it relates to information systems. Julie is particularly involved in the planning and execution of the company’s business process systems, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations and Customer Engagement.

Before joining Simpson, Julie worked at Arthur Andersen in Chicago, IL USA and in their worldwide training center in St. Charles, IL USA. At Arthur Andersen, Julie developed computer system training for clients and coordinated Management Development course offerings for internal personnel.

Julie graduated from Miami University in Oxford, OH in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Systems.
