Please join us in welcoming Mr. Andy Koch to Simpson as the Vice President of Sales & Marketing on Monday, April 3rd. Andy will work closely with the global Simpson and Norican sales and marketing teams to further grow Simpson business globally. He will primarily be working from Milwaukee, Wisconsin area but will be a frequent visitor to Aurora.
Andy has a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a Minor in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point and has supplemented his technical education with graduate level business classes from Marquette University. He comes to us with over 17 years of product management and sales leadership with the past ten years in foundry consumables including resins, coatings, resin coated sands and additives including assignments at both Ashland Chemical and HA International. His most recent position at HA International, LLC (a division of Huttenes-Albertus Gmbh) in Westmont, IL included roles as Director of Business Segments & Marketing and finally as Vice President of Sales & Marketing. He was active in several metal casting organizations including AFS, the Ductile Iron Society and the Non-Ferrous Founders Society. He has extensive knowledge of foundry processes and a large network of contacts in the global foundry industry.
Andy has been married to his wife, Laura, for 26 years and they have two children. His daughter, Elizabeth, is 21 and finishing her Junior year at Trine University in Angola, IN as a Biology major and his son, Zachary, is a Senior in high school who will be attending Spring Arbor university in the fall as a Finance major while playing golf for the university. Andy enjoys golfing, cooking/grilling/baking, and any other culinary activities as well. His family enjoys heading to the Northwoods of Wisconsin to relax in their rustic cottage every chance they get.
