A fully automatic system which measures the permeability of porous sand masses, both in compacted and loose states. Simply place your specimen on the rubber pedestal and press start. With the addition of specifically designed accessories, the Permmeter can also measure the permeability of raw foundry sand, shell coated foundry sand, and refractory coatings that are used in the foundry industry.

This instrument was designed to mimic the compressing action of an automatic molding machine in order to measure the effects the sand has upon its compactionabilities. Also, the device prepares standard 2″ x 2″ AFS or 50mm x 50mm metric sand specimens. The standard sand specimen is used in various tests including permeability, compressive strength, shear strength, etc.

Mold Strength Tester

This electronic mold strength tester ensures a practically movement-free force measurement by means of an oscillating crystal-controlled sensor. The measured force, which corresponds to the penetration resistance, indicates the strength rate. The tester comprises a digital display unit, a multifunction push-button switch and two 1,5 V batteries. It measures and stores the maximum value in N/cm2 or PSI, automatically calibrates the zero point, retains the value last measured in storage, and then turns off automatically.
